Oke people, we all ask ourselfs: 'Why is there Scripting in the game?', 'Why does EA help weaker players win matches?'. Well, I am going to answer this on this page. Once again, there is no real evidence of this in FIFA 12 and FIFA 13 but there is in FIFA 09 under the page 'Evidence'. Now lets get back to our question. Why does EA put Scripting in the game? The asnwer is: EA wants weaker players to also enjoy the game and buy their products.
By helping weaker players win matches, they will enjoy the game more and possibly buy the sequel of the game. Now this leads us to another question: What about the professional players? What is the point of letting new consumers buy the product if old consumers will stop playing the game?
Well, the answer is, even though professional players keep losing over and over because of Scripting, they will still buy FIFA 14 unfortunately.
Professional players have possibly been playing FIFA for years to get as good as they are now so it is very hard to just stop buying and playing FIFA.
So either way, EA makes profit. Old consumers keep buying FIFA and EA also attract new consumers by helping them win matches they don't deserve to win. This is a marketing technique developed by EA.
Lets make a small little theory here about FIFA. Lets say a professional player would decide NOT to buy FIFA 14 anymore after he lost f.e 50 matches against bad opponents. So that is 50 bad players who enjoy the game more and WILL buy FIFA 14 because EA helped them win and 1 player who WON'T buy the game anymore because he keeps losing to bad players.
Conclusion: EA lost 1 consumer but now gained 50 more!
The worse part is, eventhough most people keep losing and losing, they still buy the next game. This is how EA makes profit by Scripting. The amount of new consumers EA gain is way larger than the amount of consumers that actually stop playing or buying the game. All this because of Scripting!
